Cheesy Bacon & Ham Chowder

Turn up the creaminess of this ham and bacon chowder with the addition of Eden cheese.

Ingredients

50G EDEN MELTSARAP, GRATED  

2 TBSP CHEESE WHIZ  

100G BACON, CHOPPED  

100G HAM SLICES  

40G CARROTS, DICED  

100G ONION, DICED  

100G POTATOES, DICED  

1L CHICKEN STOCK  

2 CUPS FULL CREAM MILK  

WATER  

SALT  

PEPPER

Method:

In a pot, sauté bacon until it has rendered fat and toasted. Set aside.

Sauté white onions on the same pot until translucent. Pour in chicken stock and milk. Bring to boil & simmer.

Add in ham, carrots, and potatoes then continue cooking for about 45 minutes to an hour or until the potatoes are soft and tender.

Just right before you turn off the heat, mix in the grated Eden Meltsarap and Cheez Whiz, then continue cooking for about 3 minutes.

Transfer to a bowl and garnish with the remaining Eden Meltsarap and toasted bacon.
