Cheesy Beef & Mushroom Empanada


Madaling i-prepare ang mga empanada na 'to for baon or snacktime.
EDEN MELTSARAP, SLICED
250G BEEF GROUND
30G GARLIC, CHOPPED
30G WHITE ONION, CHOPPED
100G POTATO, DICED
100G MUSHROOM, DICED
1 EGG, BEATED
2 CUPS ALL-PURPOSE FLOUR, SIFTED
1/4 CUP BUTTER CHILLED
2 TBSP COLD WATER
VEGETABLE OIL
In a pan, saute onion, garlic, and beef, then add the mushrooms and potato. Mix well until cooked, then season with salt and pepper.
In a large bowl, mix the flour and until it forms a small pea-size. Add in water little by little until a dough has formed.
Using a rolling pin, flatten out evenly the dough about 1/4" thick.
Cut out dough to the desired shape and stuff with meat mixture and slices of Eden Meltsarap.
Fold the dough and lock the edges by pinching the sides. Brush the empanada with beaten egg and deep fry until gold in color.
