Cheesy Pork Curry30+ mins 5 - 10 people
This traditional Japanese pork curry recipe gets an extra creamy and cheesy kick.
4 BONELESS PORK CHOPS
4 SHISO LEAVES
5 EDEN MELT SARAP, SLICES
1/2 CUP FLOUR
3 EGGS, BEATEN
3 CUPS PANKO BREADCRUMBS
1/2 CUP AND 1 TBSP, OIL
1/2 ONION, SLICED
2 POTATOES, CUBED
2 CARROTS, DICED
1/3 CUP JAPANESE CURRY PASTE
3 CUPS WATER
4 CUPS WHITE RICE, COOKED
Season pork chops on both sides with salt and pepper.
Cut a slit on the side of the pork chops and insert the cheese and shiso leaf. Coat the pork chops with flour, dip in the egg, and roll in breadcrumbs until evenly coated.
In a pot, heat oil and fry the pork chops until golden brown. Drain on a paper towel and slice the pork chops into 1/2 inch.
In a pan, saute onions until translucent. Add potatoes and carrots, and cook for around 1 minute. Pour water and bring it to a boil. Lower heat and simmer for 10 minutes. Add curry paste to vegetables, stir, and cook for 10 minutes on low.
Place the rice in a bowl or plate. Top the pork slices and pour the curry sauce. Add the Eden cheese on top and serve.
